Hose Clamps - Spring Clamps or Band Clamps?by James LaTour and Dean SmithIt has come to our attention that maybe replacing the factory spring loaded water hose clamps might not be such a great idea. The factory spring clamps may look weak, but have not been reported to be defective. Using an adjustable band clamp could lead to overtightening, which could crack the plastic radiator hose connector.
