Japanese Car Day

Mueseum of Transportation - Brookline, MA

We are honorary invitees - we should make the best of this!

It's October 2 from 10am to 3pm, rain or shine. You can find directions at http://www.mot.org. There will be door prizes, an exhibit by Showa Institute and awards for different classes of vehicle. Voted by participants.

As far as a turnout, last year we had a good mix of new and old cars. Some highly modified and some bone stock restorations. Datsun Z's, Roadsters and 510's. A couple RX7's, Miatas, a vintage Suzuki truck and a bunch of others.

Last year the "father of the Z" Mr.Yutaka Katayama came by and signed a few firewalls.

We are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year. The MOT (Larz Anderson Auto Museum ) is located on the old estate property of Larz Anderson who was an early collector of automobiles. The grounds are quite nice and I encourage a picnic with the family near the pond or along some of the trails.

Spectators admission is $5.00 and car entries are $10.00 including 2 people.

I'd say bring the whole family but I know you guys mostly drive 2 seaters!

We would love to see a strong rotary engined presence as that is such an important part of Japanese automobilia.

I've attached two posters that you can print and hang in your favorite store if you want.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Hope to see you there!
